Tornos is 106 km long and some 600 mtrs high, making it Madeira's most important Levada.

Higher above the Tornos flows the Levada da Serra,
some 27km long and 800 mtrs high. It meanders
through Eucalyptus and Oak trees with hydrangea, gorse,
lilies and rhodendrons as your seasonal companions.
